ABSTRACT

informatics nurses address workflows to find the touch points between the electronic health record, the clinician, and the patient. Collaboration between information systems and healthcare providers is necessary to integrate virtual technology. As care shifts from in-person clinic visits to a virtual platform, healthcare providers need to learn additional skills to fully integrate telecommunication into the workflow to ensure patient-centered communication occurs.
